It is found in flocks in marshes, rivers and wetlands throughout South America.

This species can be hunted year-round as they are considered a pest.

Common wood pigeon
 HUNTING SEASON: All year.
HUNTING AREA: Argentina: Córdoba, Santiago and Santa Fe. Uruguay: Carmelo.
Sometimes we hunt cattle farm, which the pigeons come to eat the grain to livestock and throw drink water from the pond where the cattle watered, sometimes in groves. HUNTING WITHOUT SHOT LIMIT.

Duck
 HUNTING SEASON: From March 1 to September 15.
HUNTING AREA: Argentina: Santa Fe. Uruguay: Carmelo.
They live in the rivers of the area and rolls are made in the rice fields, lagoons and islands (deltas).

Partridges
 HUNTING SEASON: From May 15 to August 4.
HUNTING AREA: Argentina: San Luis and Santa Fe. Uruguay: Carmelo.
In Argentina and Uruguay partridges abound inambúes.
The hunting is done in private fields, in large plains with pointing dogs.

Hares

They hunt at night from all-terrain vehicles equipped with spotlights, or day with the help of pointing dogs.
